At this point I couldn't give a shit. There will be comparisons, but unless Kane gets three in the final and Alli the other, it'll never equal '66. Plus we did it first.
I'm loving this world cup and what it's doing to the mood and perception of football in this country.

the doctor has prescribed me 18 pints of lager this evening to deal with a nasty case of world cup FEVER.
Its been a great world cup I think, and I've really enjoyed England doing well. That said I kind of get where the nay sayers are coming from and if we go out within seconds i'll be in my spurs mates faces saying they let us down. I guess I see it as a win win from that point of view.

I would not care if 6 of the team were Spurs players with the other 5 Millwall, England would have won the world cup and I would be celebrating no matter who turns out for them.

When they play for England I don't care who they play their club football for, because they aren't rivalling us or playing against us, they are playing for us, for our country. If for some mad reason we signed Harry Kane then we would cheer him on as a West Ham player too. No different. I find it quite childish this weird hateful vitriol that some morons reserve for footballers merely because they play for a rival. When they are in an opposition shirt I want them to lose obviously, but to have a hatred so strong for a complete stranger that you want your national team to lose because they are playing? Utterly pathetic.

I think I have a way out.
If we win this with loads of Tottenham, we say they recently melted a couple of times against West Ham when it mattered in the league, so we helped toughen them up. So basically, West Ham helped Tottenham win the World Cup.
Or they melt, and it’s happened again.
